Tikveš is one of the oldest and most important wineries in the Balkans, founded in 1885 in the heart of the Tikveš wine region. Today, the winery combines local traditions with modern technologies and a sustainable approach to winemaking.

Variety: Vranec

Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Kavadarci region, at an altitude of between 300 and 500 m. The soils are calcareous and alluvial, with good water permeability. The climate is continental with Mediterranean influences - hot summers, cold winters and a significant temperature amplitude, which promotes the accumulation of coloring and aromatic substances.

Vinification: Hand picking and selection of grapes. Fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels, with moderate maceration to extract color and structure. Short stay on the lees before bottling.

Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Intense nose with notes of black cherry, plum and dried fruits, complemented by a touch of black pepper and tobacco.
Taste: Medium-bodied with soft tannins, lively acidity and a balanced finish with a slight spicy length.
Food pairing: A good complement to traditional meat dishes, kebabs, moussaka, mature cheeses and grilled sausages.
Serving temperature: 16°–18°C
Aging potential: Up to 4 years after harvest
