Legaris is a modern winery, part of the Raventós Codorníu group, located in the heart of Ribera del Duero. The winery combines modern technology with respect for local tradition, creating elegant and structured wines with a distinctive terroir character.
Grape variety: Tempranillo
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Curiel de Duero region at around 800 meters above sea level. The soils are mainly limestone with clay and gravel admixtures, and the climate is continental with hot days and cool nights - conditions that favor the slow and even ripening of the grapes and the preservation of freshness.
Vinification: Hand picking, careful selection and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Part of the wine is aged for around 3 months in French and American oak, which gives a slight spicy and vanilla accent, without dominating the fruity character.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Concentrated aromas of black fruits – blackberries, black cherry, with delicate notes of sweet spices and toasted oak.
Taste: Medium body with soft tannins, good structure and a fresh finish with a slightly spicy vein.
Food pairings: Goes well with roasted red meats, grilled lamb chops, chorizo and mature Spanish cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16°–18°C
Aging potential: 3–5 years
