Produced by Mezek Winery – an established Bulgarian winery located in the village of the same name Mezek, at the foot of the Rhodope Mountains. The winery is part of the Eastern Thrace wine region and is known for its terroir wines, which express the characteristics of the southern climate and mineral soils of the area.

Varietal composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Terroir: The vineyards are located on the region’s characteristic “white soil” – a mixture of limestone, clay and sand, which provide good drainage and mineral character to the wine. The climate is warm and dry with long summers and cool nights, which promote even ripening of the grapes.

Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness and undergo careful selection. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels, after which part of the wine is aged in oak barrels to gain volume, softness and complexity.
