Villa Melnik presents Melnik Jubilee1300 – a premium red wine from the Rare Varieties series, created with care for the unique local variety and rich tradition.
Variety: Melnik Jubilee 1300
Terroir: The vineyards are located on the southern sandy slopes near the village of Harsovo, in the Melnik Valley region. The soils are stony-sandy-limestone, the climate – Mediterranean with warm, dry summers and cool nights, combined with a cool mountain breeze from Pirin and Belasitsa, which promotes a more balanced ripening of the grapes.
Vinification: The wine is made from carefully selected grapes. It is aged for 12 months in new Bulgarian oak barrels (barriques), after which a limited series of 2268 bottles is bottled.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Opaque inky-purple.
Aroma: Extremely deep and complex – exotic flowers, sandalwood, dark fruits (plums, mulberries, raspberries), chocolate, mocha and mint.
Taste: Full, juicy body, ripe enriched tannins and lively acidity. The finish is noble, long and blue.
Food pairings: Ideal with barbecued ribs, game and meat dishes with sweet and sour or fruit sauces, rich in cocoa or caramelized notes – for example, veal or lamb in a blueberry or plum sauce.
Serving temperature: 18°–20°C, decanting 1 hour before consumption is recommended.
Aging potential: Exceptional potential – minimum 8–10 years after harvest.
