Produced by Medi Valley Winery – a modern family winery located near the village of Smochevo, at the foot of Rila Mountain. Created with the philosophy of sustainable and minimalist winemaking, the winery focuses on varieties grown in ecologically clean conditions and hand-picked.
Terroir
The vineyards of Good Year are located in the southern part of the Struma Valley, near the town of Melnik. The region is characterized by a warm, almost Mediterranean climate and a long growing season, which allows the Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties to develop rich aromas and expressive fruity character. The soils are sandy-clay, with limestone inclusions, providing excellent drainage and minerality in the wines.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked in the early morning hours to preserve freshness and aromatic potential. After gentle pressing, the rosé juice is separated, which ferments at low temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation to preserve its liveliness and pure acidity. It is bottled young to reflect the fresh character of the 2024 harvest.
