Produced by Zagrey Winery – a modern family winery located near the town of Parvomay, in the heart of the Thracian Lowlands. The winery is certified organic and is known for its emphasis on the local Mavrud grape variety and sustainable viticulture practices.
Varietal composition: 100% Mavrud
Terroir: The vineyards are located on the southern slopes of the Rhodope Mountains, on limestone-clay soils, with a southern exposure. The region is characterized by long sunny days and cool evenings, which contributes to the balance between ripeness and freshness in the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and vinified using the direct pressing method. Fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel vessels, and the wine is aged briefly on fine lees for better texture and aromatic purity.
