Produced by Sacha Lichine – winemaker, visionary and heir to the legendary Château Prieuré-Lichine estate in Bordeaux. After his success with Whispering Angel in Provence, Sacha Lichine is expanding his portfolio with affordable, modern and fresh wines from the South of France. Le Poussa is part of this philosophy – an elegant, contemporary rosé in the style of the French Riviera, but produced in the IGP Pays d’Oc.
Varietal composition: Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Pays d’Oc region – the southern part of France, close to the Mediterranean Sea. The soils are stony and calcareous-clayey, and the climate is Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and cool nights, which contribute to preserving the aromas and natural acidity of the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested in the cool hours of the day. After gentle pressing, fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at a controlled low temperature. The aim is to preserve the aroma and freshness. The wine is not aged in oak and is bottled young to preserve its lively and fruity-floral character.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Expressive and fresh nose with notes of strawberry, raspberry, cherry blossom, red apple and pink pepper. Delicate and spring-like aromatic profile.
