Produced by Vinarska Izba Varna – a family winery located near the Black Sea coast, in the village of General Kantardzhievo. The winery focuses on creating wines with a pronounced terroir character, using modern technologies and hand-picking of grapes.
Varietal composition: 100% Pinot Noir
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Shumen region, in Northeastern Bulgaria, on sandy-clay soils. The region is characterized by a temperate continental climate with a maritime influence, which contributes to the freshness and elegance of the wines.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected. After a short maceration and gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels. The wine is briefly aged on the lees to give texture and complexity.
