Domaine Menada was founded in 1901 in Stara Zagora. Combining French technological expertise with local traditions, the winery offers wines with a balanced character and a clearly expressed varietal profile.
Varietal composition: Merlot
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Stara Zagora region on alluvial-clay soils. The region has a temperate continental climate, which is distinguished by long summers and sufficient sunshine - factors that contribute to the accumulation of sugars and balanced acids in the grapes.
Vinification: After manual harvesting and selection, the grapes are fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels. The wine undergoes a short maceration to achieve softness and expressiveness, and is not aged in oak to preserve the fresh fruity character.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Predominant nuances of black cherry, blackberry and a light hint of dried herbs.
Taste: Medium body with soft tannins, balanced freshness and a velvety finish with fruit dominance.
Food pairing: Suitable for pizza with prosciutto, pasta with tomato sauce or roasted chicken with rosemary.
Serving temperature: 15°–17°C
Aging potential: Up to 3 years after harvest
