Produced by Karabunar Winery – a modern Bulgarian winery located in the village of Karabunar, near the southern part of the Stara Planina Mountains, in the Thracian Lowlands. The winery relies on modern technologies and careful selection of grapes to maximally express the terroir character of the region. The Kontur line is dedicated to fresh, stylish wines with a modern profile and pronounced varietal character.
Varietal composition: Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the area of the village of Karabunar, part of the Pazardzhik wine region – known for its long sunshine, slightly hilly terrain and well-drained clay-stony soils. The moderately continental climate with day-night temperature amplitudes contributes to the formation of aromatic, fresh white wines.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested in the early morning hours to preserve the varietal aromas. After careful selection and light pressing, the two varieties ferment separately at low temperature in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, blending is carried out, followed by a short aging on the fine lees for more density and structure.
