Tenuta Ca’ Bolani is located in the heart of the DOC Friuli Aquileia in northeastern Italy, with proximity to the Adriatic Sea and an influential microclimate – cool winds and large temperature amplitudes, which create an excellent terroir for fresh white wines.
Varietal composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Molin di Ponte area, part of the high-quality Friuli Aquileia area. The soils are stony-clayey with a high content of silica minerals, providing pure minerality, intense aromas and harmonious acidity, aided by the breeze and the temperature differences between day and night.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and vinified at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. In some cases, a short aging on the fine lees (sur lie) is applied, which gives softness and texture, without contact with oak, in order to preserve the varietal freshness and a pronounced fruity character.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Fresh and intense notes of lime, grapefruit, white flowers, orange peel and a slight floral touch, combined with a distinct minerality.
Taste: Medium-bodied with bright acidity, juicy citrus fruits (lime, grapefruit), green apple and kiwi, wrapped in a mineral and finely salty finish.
Food pairings: Suitable with seafood (oyster, mussels, white fish), fresh salads, light appetizers, grilled chicken or goat cheese.
Serving temperature: 8°–10°C
Aging potential: Up to 3–5 years after harvest, depending on the style – best up to 3–4 years for freshness and terroir and up to 5 for more structured editions.
