Villa Melnik is a family winery in the Struma Valley (Kharsovo village), known for sustainable viticulture, gravity technology cycle and a distinct terroir style.
Varietal composition: 70% Viognier and 30% Chardonnay
Terroir: The vineyards were planted in 2004 on hills with sandy soils and limestone deposits, under the influence of Struma and the nearby East Aegean region - a climate with hot days and cool nights, which enhances aroma and freshness.
Vinification: The grapes are partially fermented in oak barrels, and the rest - in stainless steel. After fermentation, the varieties are blended to achieve a harmonious balance between fruitiness and structure
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Intense and fresh nose of peach, pear, citrus and floral nuances
Taste: Medium-bodied, full-bodied and balanced, with a fine mineral finish and a long fruity aftertaste
Food pairing: Excellent with chicken, Indian spices, fish and pasta with cream sauces
