Piccini – a modern and recognizable Italian wine house,
founded in 1882 in Tuscany, Piccini is one of the most dynamically developing and popular Italian wineries. The family manages numerous estates in different regions, including Veneto, where this Pinot Grigio comes from. The brand is known for its modern style, consistency in quality and the accessible, yet elegant character of its wines.
Terroir – the delle Venezie DOC zone
The vineyards are located in northeastern Italy (Veneto, Friuli and Trentino), which is a classic area for the Pinot Grigio variety.
Soils: alluvial, rich in minerals, with a combination of clay and sand.
Climate: temperate-continental, influenced by the cool air masses of the Alps and the sea breezes of the Adriatic — ideal for fresh, aromatic white wines.
Variety: 100% Pinot Grigio.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested in cool conditions to preserve the aroma. This is followed by gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel vessels at low temperatures, which preserves the freshness and fruity character. A short stay on the fine lees adds harmony and softness.
