Scaia Rosato is a contemporary rosé made from 100% Rondinella, a traditional variety from Valpolicella that is rarely used on its own. This wine is part of Tenuta Sant'Antonio's Scaia line, created to offer a modern interpretation of the winemaking traditions of the region.
Varietal composition: 100% Rondinella
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the eastern part of Valpolicella, in the municipality of Mezzane di Soto, at an altitude of between 200 and 300 meters above sea level. The soils are rich in limestone and fossils, which contribute to the freshness and minerality of the wine.
Vinification: Hand-harvested whole bunches of grapes, followed by a short cold maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, without malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 3 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
Organoleptic characteristics:
Aroma: Delicate nose with notes of roses, raspberries and other red fruits.
Taste: Fresh and balanced, with pronounced acidity and a clean finish.
Serving temperature: between 8°C and 10°C.
Aging potential: Up to 2 years after harvest, with its best condition in the first year.
Suitable for consumption: light appetizers, salads, seafood and tomato-based dishes.
