Master Blender Billy Walker graduated from Glasgow University in 1967 with a degree in Chemistry. His journey into whiskey began in 1972, working with hugely popular global brands, sometimes covering all aspects of production. This trade continued for thirty long years before Billy decided to strike out on his own. It was at this point in his career that Billy really made a name for himself in the industry as the leader behind the revival and subsequent phenomenal success of his distilleries. This brings us to Billy's current position as owner and master distiller at The GlenAllachie, where he celebrated reaching half a century in the industry.
