Casa Ruinart, founded in 1729, is the oldest champagne house in the world and traditionally uses underground limestone quarries (“Crayères”), listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to mature the wines – constant temperature and humidity, ideal for a complex style
Blend
Typical composition: ≈40% Chardonnay (Côte des Blancs), ≈57% Pinot Noir (Montagne de Reims) and ≈3% Pinot Meunier
Visual profile
The Magnum bottle with its characteristic rounded shape is aesthetically impressive and creates a more balanced aging and a fine pearl (moss) in the sparkling wine.
The color is pale gold, with yellow nuances and a very fine and persistent pearl (large amount of bubbles)
Aroma
On the nose: it announces freshness with fruity notes (peach pear, apple, apricot), nuts (almonds, hazelnut), white flowers (acacia) and a subtle nuance of warm flour or Viennese pastries (brioche).
Taste and structure
The taste is fresh and harmonious, with a creamy texture, medium body and an elegant balance between fruit and minerality.
A long, clean finish that highlights the mineral freshness and elegance typical of Chardonnay.
