Produced in Leyda Valley – one of the most prestigious cool wine regions of Chile, located near the Pacific Ocean, about 14 km from the coast. The region is part of the D.O. Leyda Valley appellation and is known for its exceptionally suitable conditions for growing varieties with a strong aromatic and spicy profile. Wines from Leyda are distinguished by elegance, freshness and a clearly expressed terroir character.
Varietal composition:
100% Syrah
Terroir:
The vineyards are located on hilly terrain with granite and clay soils, poor in organic matter. The strong influence of the Pacific Ocean and the cold Humboldt Current provide cool mornings, fog and a long growing season. These conditions contribute to the slow and even ripening of the grapes, preserving the freshness and spicy character of the Syrah.
Vinification:
The grapes are hand-picked and undergo careful selection. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature with long maceration to extract deep color and structured tannins. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which adds complexity, spicy nuances and potential for development.
