Produced by Santa Lucia Vini, a traditional Italian winery from the south of Italy, specializing in creating rich and expressive wines from the Puglia region. The winery combines local varieties with modern techniques, such as the Appassimento and Passito methods, to achieve full-bodied, concentrated wines with a soft and rounded style typical of the warm southern climate.
Varietal composition:
Negroamaro and Primitivo
Terroir:
The vineyards are located in the Puglia region (Puglia IGT), in the south-east of Italy - a region known for its hot Mediterranean climate, long sunshine and calcareous-clay soils. The proximity to the Adriatic and Ionian Seas provides cooling winds that preserve the balance and aromatic freshness of the grapes.
Vinification:
The grapes are left to overripe on the vine, then partially undergo Appassimento / Passito - a controlled drying to concentrate sugars and aromas. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature to extract color, structure and soft tannins. The wine is aged in oak barrels for added depth, softness and harmony.
