The Valiano estate is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the area around Castelnuovo Berardenga, known for traditional Tuscan terroirs and varietal wines with elegant character.
Terroir
Soils: Galestro and Alberese – calcareous, stony and well-drained
Climate: warm summers, cool nights, significant influence of altitude
Exposure: sunny hills between 300–400 m
This terroir is ideal for Sangiovese – providing aromatic intensity, fine acidity and elegant tannins.
Vinification
- Manual selection of grapes
- Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks
- Long maceration to extract color and aroma
- Aging in large oak barrels and/or French barriques (depending on the winery's practice) for 9–12 months
- Final blending and additional bottle aging before release
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma:
Red cherry, berries, violets, dried herbs, sweet spices, hints of leather, tobacco and a subtle oak touch.
Taste:
Tight and elegant, with structured but fine tannins. Well-pronounced natural acidity, typical of Sangiovese. Fruit core (cherry, red berries), complemented by minerality, nuances of cocoa and herbal tones. Finish - long, dry and harmonious.
