Patriarche is one of the oldest and most renowned wineries in Burgundy, founded in 1780 in Bonn. The winery is known for its classic approach to Burgundian varieties and its extensive underground cellars, in which wines are aged with finesse and balance.
Varietal composition: Pinot Noir
Terroir: The grapes are selected from various plots in Burgundy with clay-limestone soils, typical of the region. The climate is temperate continental with clearly defined seasons, which allows for a slow and even ripening of the sensitive Pinot Noir variety.
Vinification: The grapes are vinified using the classic Burgundian method - fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation and a short aging in oak barrels to preserve the freshness and elegance of the variety.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Refined nose with nuances of red cherry, raspberry, violet and fine spice.
Taste: Elegant body with silky tannins, juicy fruit core and a long, mineral finish with a slightly earthy accent.
Food pairing: Suitable with duck fillet with blueberry sauce, baked trout or thick-rind goat cheeses.
Serving temperature: 14°–16°C
