Orbelia Winery – a boutique Bulgarian winery located in the village of Kolarovo, Petrich Municipality, at the foot of Belasitsa. The region is known for its warm climate and long growing season, favorable for the production of rich and harmonious red wines.
Varietal composition:
100% Merlot.
Terroir:
The vineyards are located in the Struma River Valley – one of the warmest wine-growing regions in Bulgaria, with a strong Mediterranean influence. The soils and climate contribute to excellent ripening of Merlot and the formation of a soft structure and fruity character.
Vinification:
The grapes are harvested at optimal phenolic ripeness. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with prolonged maceration to extract color and tannins. The wine is aged for a certain period, which gives additional roundness and complexity, without dominating the varietal character.
