Katarzyna Estate is a Bulgarian winery located in the heart of the Thracian Lowlands – a region with deep winemaking traditions. The winery is recognizable by its modern approach, combined with respect for local varieties. The Cheval de Katarzyna series presents more accessible, fruity and expressive wines, created for everyday consumption and sharing.
Varieties: Mavrud
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Thracian Lowlands region – the classic home of the Mavrud variety. The soils are mainly alluvial-clay with a good water balance, and the climate is moderately continental with warm days and cool nights. These conditions support the good ripening of the grapes and the preservation of their fruity character.
Vinification: The grapes are vinified at a controlled temperature in steel vessels, in order to preserve the freshness and typical fruit profile of the variety. The wine is created for early consumption, without an emphasis on long aging, which makes it soft, harmonious and easy to drink.
