Tenuta Perano is part of the renowned Frescobaldi wine family and is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in Gaiole in Chianti. The vineyards are located amphitheatrically at 500 m above sea level - one of the highest places in the area, which ensures elegance and freshness in the wines.
Variety: Sangiovese
Terroir: The southern and southwestern slopes with stony, well-drained soils and high altitude create excellent conditions for the slow and full ripening of Sangiovese. The climate is temperate-continental with large amplitudes between day and night, contributing to aromatic intensity and energetic acids.
Vinification: Hand picking and selection of grapes. Fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation. Aging for 24 months in large French oak barrels, with additional refinement in the bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Complex nose with ripe red fruits, violets, spices and fine minerality.
Taste: Firm yet elegant, with ripe tannins, fresh acidity and a long, harmonious finish with notes of cherry, leather and light oak.
Food pairing: Ideal choice for veal tagliatelle, pasta with ragu, stuffed eggplants or hard Italian cheeses.
