Via Vinera – Karabunar Estate – a modern and established Bulgarian winery located in the area of the village of Karabunar, at the foot of Sredna Gora. Known for its rich terroirs and deep wine traditions, the winery combines modern technologies with attention to detail when working with grapes.
Terroir: The vineyards around Karabunar are located on limestone-marl and sandy-clay soils. The area is characterized by a warm, dry climate and a significant amplitude between day and night temperatures, which allows for excellent ripening of red varieties and the development of deep, concentrated aromas.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness and undergo careful selection. Fermentation follows at a controlled temperature in stainless steel vessels, with prolonged maceration to extract color and structure. Part of the wine is aged in oak barrels, which contributes to complexity, softness and harmony.
