Produced by Viña San Pedro, one of the largest and most respected wineries in Chile, founded in 1865. The winery is located in the heart of the Central Valley, combining long-standing traditions with innovative winemaking practices. The Gato Negro brand was created with the idea of offering affordable and easy-to-drink wines of consistent quality, intended for a wide audience worldwide.
Varietal composition: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
Terroir: The grapes come from sub-regions of the Central Valley, the main wine-growing region in Chile, characterized by a warm Mediterranean climate, cool nights and well-drained alluvial soils. These conditions favor the slow ripening of the grapes, resulting in a rich fruit profile and good acidity.
Vinification: The grapes are machine-harvested at optimal ripeness. After selection and delicate maceration, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, in order to preserve the primary fruit aromas. Partial aging on the lees contributes to roundness and softness in the taste.
