Icon of Italian style
Rich, smooth and velvety, yet accessible and versatile on the table. Combining simplicity and elegance with power and grandeur.
Born in 1964, Campofiorin is one of the most beloved traditional Italian classics in the world, internationally recognized as a "wine of incredible size and complexity", creator of a new category of Veneto wines inspired by the Amarone technique.
Variety: 70% Corvina + 25% Rondinella + 5% Molinara
A small stylistic evolution has been introduced with the 2020 vintage: the harvest is now postponed even further and there is an increase in the percentage of dried grapes to make the wine even more harmonious, well-rounded and dense, with more overall fruitiness.
Characteristics: Intense, ruby-dark red color with violet hues. Attractive spicy bouquet with aromas of cherries and sweet spices. Extremely powerful and balanced in the mouth, with flavors of ripe fruit, cherries and blackcurrants. Dense and velvety tannins, good acidity and a long finish with hints of vanilla and cocoa, just like Amarone.
Serving suggestions: A wine of rare versatility, suitable for a wide variety of foods and drinking occasions, from aperitifs to serious dinners. Perfect with richly sauced Mediterranean pasta dishes; goes well with grilled and roasted red meats, as well as the warm spicy flavors of Asian and South American cuisine. Also pairs perfectly with mature cheeses.
Optimal serving temperature: 18-20°C
