he Hugel Gentil 2020 white wine is an iconic Alsatian blend created by the Famille Hugel, reflecting the traditional “Gentil” style – a harmonious combination of aromatic varieties with an elegant, fresh and exceptionally balanced character.
Dry white wine (Alsace region, France)
Varietal composition: Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Sylvaner
Location: Produced from a selection of vineyards around the village of Riquewihr in the heart of Alsace.
Terroir: Diverse soils – limestone, clay and sandstone. Semi-continental climate with influence from the Vosges, which provide dry and sunny conditions, favorable for slow ripening and preservation of freshness and aromatic profile.
Vinification: The grapes are carefully harvested and subjected to delicate pressing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature in order to preserve the purity of the aromas and the fresh fruity character.
Organoleptic characteristics: Light yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose reveals a fine and expressive bouquet of white flowers, peach, pear and light spicy notes. The taste is fresh and balanced, with nuances of citrus, white fruits and delicate minerality, leading to a clean and harmonious finish.
