Produced by Chateau Avli – a family winery located in the village of Glushnik, Sliven region. The name of the winery comes from the medieval town of Avli, known for its agriculture and winemaking. The vineyards were planted in 2006 with French planting material and cover 330 decares on two massifs – Bozalaka and Rupov dol, at the foot of the Sliven mountain. The soils are clay-stony with southern exposure and excellent air drainage.
Varietal composition: 50% Viognier, 50% Muscat
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Glushnik region, part of the Thracian Lowland, on clay-stony soils with southern exposure. The climate is moderately continental with influence from the nearby mountains, which favors slow ripening and the accumulation of aromatic compounds.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and undergo careful selection. After cooling to 10–12°C, fermentation takes place at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the delicate aromas of the varieties.
