La Perrière is a family-run winery in the central Loire, known for its inspiration from the Sancerre region. With the “La Petite Perrière” portfolio, the winery aims to offer a fresh, classic white style with strong expression.
Varietal composition: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Loire Valley on limestone and clay soils. The climate is temperate with large diurnal amplitudes and refreshing winds, which helps the accumulation of acidity and minerality in the grapes.
Vinification: Half of the grapes are harvested by hand, with a preliminary selection in the vineyard. After 12–14 hours of cold maceration, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine is aged for 3–4 months on the lees before bottling.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Dominated by floral and herbaceous tones – lime, grapefruit, green apple, white flowers and light nuances of acacia. Peach, mango and mineral nuances are also felt.
Taste: Fresh, dense and fruity-mineral, with pronounced acidity and a long, finish with notes of lime and mineral freshness.
Food pairing: Suitable for fish, seafood, chicken and salads with wild vegetables.
Serving temperature: 8°–10°C
Aging potential: Up to 2 years after harvest
