Château Purcari is one of the most famous wineries in Moldova, located in the southeast of the country. Variety: Sauvignon Blanc (100%)
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Purcari region, with soils that are mainly sandy-clay, providing excellent drainage. The climate is continental, with hot summers and cool nights, which allows the Sauvignon Blanc to ripen slowly, preserving the freshness and aromas of the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. The wine does not undergo aging in oak barrels to preserve the purity of the fruit aromas and freshness.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Light yellow with greenish hues.
Aroma: Fresh and intense, with notes of citrus, green apple and slightly grassy accents.
Taste: Light to medium body with high acidity, giving the wine a crisp and refreshing structure. The taste is balanced and fruity with a slightly mineral aftertaste.
Food pairings: Suitable for salads with citrus dressings, seafood, fish dishes with light sauces, pasta with basil sauce or fresh cheeses.
