Salla Estate is a family-run winery located in the southern part of the Danube Plain. It focuses on creating local varieties with minimal intervention and micro-vinifications to highlight the terroir character of the region.
Varietal composition: Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc
Terroir: The vineyards are at low altitudes near the Danube, on sandy-clay soils with good drainage and minimal moisture. The climate is temperate continental with a long sunny period and cool nights, which helps to develop aromas and freshness in the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness, undergo cold maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Some of the wine may be aged briefly on the fine lees for a denser structure, without contact with oak.
Organoleptic characteristics
