The Dr. Lozen winery is one of the emblematic wineries in the Moselle region, with a history dating back over 200 years. Under the leadership of Ernie Lozen, the winery has established itself as a world standard for classic Riesling, expressing the terroir of the steep schist slopes along the Moselle River.
Varietal composition: 100% Riesling
Terroir: The vineyards are located on southern and southwestern slopes with extremely poor, stony schist soils. They retain heat and contribute to the development of complex minerality and elegant structure. The cool climate of the Moselle ensures a long period of maturation and preservation of freshness.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vessels at low temperature with natural yeasts. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation, in order to preserve the bright acidity and authentic character of the variety.
Organoleptic characteristics
