This exceptional vodka hails from the scenic landscapes of Montana and is the work of actor Jason Momoa and his longtime friend, artisan (designer-innovator) Blaine Halvorson.
The vodka has received numerous awards, including being named “World’s Best Vodka” at the TAG Global Spirits Awards in 2024. Its list of awards includes multiple gold and double gold medals from competitions such as the New York World Spirits Competition (2024, 2023), the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (2024) and The London Golden Vodka Masters (2023). Other accolades include a triple gold from the London Golden Vodka Masters (2023) and a “Double Century Winner” from the Las Vegas Pr%f Awards (2023).
The jury described the vodka as “brilliant and crystal clear.” The alcohol has intense aromas of dried herbs, citrus peels and hints of sea salt.
Jason Momoa's involvement in the brand is interesting. The actor is actually a huge fan of whiskey, tequila and rum, but Blaine Halvorson convinced him that vodka can also have incredible taste qualities and can even be drunk on its own if it is made from quality ingredients. Thus was born Maylie Vodka
" Maylie was created to be the purest and most versatile drink you will ever taste. You can call it vodka, but we would rather you not.
Instead, Maylie sets the bar for what modern drinks should be.
Maylie is easy, versatile and affordable, but it is not something you can categorize or put into a box.
Do what you want: mix it or sip it neat --> a good drink is a good drink. It is not what you call it, but how you drink it.
It is your decision whether to confess.
You may not know us, but we will get to know each other.
We did not like vodka, nor did we drink it. To us, vodka was terrible..so we fixed it! "
The best of nature's elements: fire, water, air, earth --> these are the four elements, woven into the vodka of the Maili distillery, which give it an authentic and memorable taste.
- Earth: First of all, the brand creates the vodka using fresh grains from farms in Montana, located as close as possible to the distillery, mostly family businesses. Although Maili does not disclose exactly what grains it uses, it is possible that there is a little corn in the distillate because of the subtle sweetness that the vodka brings. The distillation is purposely single-shot to preserve the uniqueness of the patented grains. The drink is also advertised as gluten-free. The vodka has light vanilla aromas, and the taste captures candied citrus peels.
- Water: The alcohol is distilled using “some of the cleanest water sources on earth” by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards—natural, unfiltered spring water collected from an ancient aquifer (an underground reservoir composed of layers of porous rock) that holds and transports groundwater, acting as a natural reservoir for water with a unique mineral composition, dating back 300 million years, in Montana.
- Fire: The bottle is made from 100% recycled glass—vast mountains of broken, discarded glass are heated to a molten mass, reborn, and reworked into something functional and beautiful. The company states that no two bottles are exactly alike.
- Air: From start to finish, the fresh, cool mountain air of Montana influences this vodka and its ingredients. The altitude of over 3,300 meters allows snow and precipitation to remain untouched before their underground journey is complete. In the final stage of distillation, the vodka is allowed to rest and breathe before bottling, resulting in a smoother flavor profile.
