Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series was created to challenge convention and push boundaries within the whisky category and beyond. It was this passion for doing things differently that led to a partnership with like-minded visionaries, the Temperley family, who share the same entrepreneurial spirit.
Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment was created in collaboration with the founders and owners of The Somerset Cider Brandy Company, and the result is an intriguing single malt, finished in Somerset Pomona Spirit casks.

This truly innovative malt is initially matured in American oak casks, then finished for four months in Somerset Pomona casks (Somerset Pomona is a spirit, a blend of apple juice and Somerset Cider Brandy, which is then matured together in oak casks for a further two years. It is an exceptional digestif and can be found in the finest restaurants worldwide.)

Tasting notes:  The classic notes of pear and ripe fruit are enhanced by the additional ageing in casks of Somerset Pomona Spirit.
Aroma: Classic Glenfiddich with the freshness of pear in excellent balance with oak notes
Taste: Initial burst of ripe fruit developing into sweet toffee, caramelised apple and a hint of woody spice – cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg.
Finish: Long lasting and sweet.
