Foursquare Magisterium 16 Years Old is an exceptional Single Blended Rum from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, a name that embodies precision, tradition and artisanal approach in the world of rum. This limited edition rum is the result of a careful blend of distillates produced in both pot style and column stills, and has been aged for 16 years in the tropical climate of Barbados. The maturation took place in two types of barrels – ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry, which gives the rum a complex and deep character, combining sweetness, spices and elegant woodiness.

Organoleptic characteristics

Colour: Dark mahogany with reddish and copper highlights.
Aroma: Rich and multi-layered – notes of dried fruit, raisins and dates, intertwined with vanilla, caramel, cocoa and light smoky nuances of oak.
Taste: Full and buttery, with a balance between sweetness and spiciness. Layers of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, cinnamon, sherry and warm woody vanilla are felt.
Finish: Extremely long and harmonious - notes of tobacco, molasses and noble oak, leaving a warm, dry aftertaste.

Serving suggestions

Best consumed neat to fully experience its rich character and complexity. Also suitable for tasting at room temperature in a snifter tasting glass. Not recommended for cocktails - this is a rum for true connoisseurs.
