The unique character of this wine is due exclusively to the high ratio of Chardonnay (50%), balanced to perfection with 50% Pinot (45% Pinot Noir and 5% Meunier). Grapes from more than 25 cru vineyards from the best Champagne terroirs in the Cotes des Blancs and Montagne de Reims make up the blend, with 30% of the blend being the prized reserve wines. All these elements allow Laurent Frenet, winemaker of the cellar, to create the best blend and year after year to recreate, with incredible consistency, this unique style. Each bottle is then left to age for more than 3 years in the cool, calm environment of Champagne Henriot's cellars in Reims.
The Brut Souverain blend also contains a small amount of the prestigious Champagne Cuve 38. This wine, made in the style of perpetual reserve, coming exclusively from Chardonnay from the Grand Cru vineyards, is unique to Champagne Henriot and expresses the typical taste and originality of the House.
The dosage is less than 8 g/l.
Characteristics: Straw gold, light and pure color. A procession of persistent, delicate bubbles forming a lovely ring of foam. On the nose, the champagne offers a magnificent, lively character. Citrus aromas are followed by a cavalcade of floral bouquet, elderberry and vine blossom. Delicious brioche notes and notes of lightly toasted bread and roasted almonds.
Well-balanced and harmonious on the palate, evoking aromas of brioche alongside crisp cherries and sun-kissed white peach.
A clean finish, with all the freshness of freshly picked walnuts.
