Andre Clouet V6 Experience is a prestigious champagne produced by the Clouet family, which has been producing wine in the heart of the Champagne region - in the town of Bouzy since 1741. It is called V6 Experience because it is aged for a minimum of 6 years in the bottle. After the 6th year in bottle, Pinot Noir Champagne can undergo different development and changes in its flavor profile. Over time, the wine can develop and mature, showing different characteristics and nuances.
During the aging process, Champagne made primarily from Pinot Noir will always show increased complexity and depth. First fruit aromas can become more muted, making way for secondary and tertiary aromas to emerge. These can include notes of dried fruit, honey, toast and nuts. The acidity of the wine can mellow and integrate more seamlessly, resulting in a smoother and more refined mouthfeel. The tannins in Pinot Noir can also evolve, becoming more integrated and appropriate to the overall structure of the Champagne.
