Concept and aging process:

Dos Maderas 5+5 PX is a triple aged rum that combines the craftsmanship of Caribbean distillation with the Spanish tradition of sherry casks.

First stage: The rum from Barbados and Guyana is aged for 5 years in a tropical climate in oak barrels that previously held bourbon.

Second stage: It is then transported to Spain, to the Williams & Humbert cellars, where it is aged for 3 years in Dos Cortados (Palo Cortado) sherry casks.

Third stage: For the last 2 years, the rum is aged in Pedro Ximénez (PX) barrels – a sherry with an extremely rich and sweet profile, which gives it a unique soft and dessert character.

The total aging period is 10 years (5+3+2), which justifies the name 5+5 Triple Aged.

Organoleptic characteristics

Color: Dark mahogany with copper highlights and exceptional gloss.
Aroma: Deep and complex, with notes of dried fruit, figs, dates, vanilla and caramel, complemented by molasses, spices and a sweet sherry tone.
Taste: Thick and velvety, with a perfect balance between sweetness and woodiness. There are toffee, raisins, cocoa, nuts and a light smoke, with subtle sherry nuances from the PX barrels.
Finish: Extremely long and warm, with a honey-caramel aftertaste, reminiscent of dates and vanilla.

Pairings and serving:

Best consumed neat, in a rum or tasting glass, at a temperature of 18–20°C.

Also suitable as a digestif or with dark chocolate, nuts and dried fruit.

Not recommended for cocktails – this is a rum for contemplation.

With our own transport in Sofia, we deliver to the front door of the specified block or house address. We do not enter the building due to security reasons.

For orders over 76.69 € / BGN 150, delivery is free of charge.

Deliveries are made only to addresses within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

You can also pick up the ordered products on site from our address: Sofia, Hladilnika district, 13 Filip Kutev Street (see on map).
