Produced by La Gioiosa, a leading family winery founded by the Moretti Polegato dynasty, located in the heart of the historic Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area in Northern Italy. The name “La Gioiosa” means “The Joyful One” – a reference to the ancient name of the province of Treviso. The winery specializes in the production of high-quality sparkling wines and is a symbol of classic Prosecco with a modern touch.
Varietal composition: 100% Glera
Terroir: The grapes come from the hilly vineyards of the Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG area – the most prestigious and strictly regulated area for the production of Prosecco. The soils are clay-carbonate, with good drainage, and the hilly terrain and alpine influence on the climate provide perfect conditions for slow ripening and intense aromatics.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked. After careful pressing, the must ferments first as a still wine, then undergoes a secondary fermentation (according to the Sharma/Martinotti method) in autoclaves at a controlled temperature. The Millesimato version includes grapes only from the 2024 harvest, which highlights the characteristic qualities of the specific year.
