Valdo winery was founded in 1926 in Valdobbiadene and is among the leading producers of prosecco. The Marca Oro series represents a classic line with an elegant and fresh style, and its pink version highlights the new trend of prosecco rosé.
Variety: 90% Glera and 10% Pinot Noir
Terroir: The vineyards are located near Valdobbiadene, on well-drained clay soils. The climate is temperate, with morning coolness and daily amplitudes, favorable for the development of fresh fruit aromas in the grapes.
Vinification: Primary fermentation at a controlled temperature. Second - by the Charmat method in an autoclave for about 3 months on the lees. A minimum dose of sugar is used (Extra Dry). The wine is bottled with gentle bubbles and without contact with oak.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Light pink, bright, with fine and persistent bubbles.
Aroma: Fresh, with dominant notes of strawberry, raspberry, green apple and a delicate floral nuance.
Taste: Balanced and pleasant, with pronounced acidity, citrus and light mineral tones. The finish is fruity and refreshing.
Food pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, but also goes well with mussels, sushi, fresh seafood salads, light fried foods and fruit desserts.
Serving temperature: 6°–8°C
Aging potential: Best consumed young, up to 1–2 years after harvest
