The blend is distilled, blended and bottled in Ireland — County Cavan, by the company Shanky & Shireman.
It is not an “ordinary” Irish whiskey, but a liqueur-blend of Irish whiskey and other spirit components, flavored with vanilla and caramel.
Technology: After distilling Irish whiskey and/or spirit, the product is mixed with vanilla and caramel flavors, in order to obtain a smooth, sweet liqueur taste. This is an emphasized position in marketing.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate, light spices dominate.
Taste: Sweet, creamy character with vanilla and caramel notes, a feeling of “black Irish whiskey” (Black Irish Whiskey) – dark, deep, sweet.
Finish: Light, smooth, with a sweet tonality and a slightly spicy nuance.
Food pairings: excellent for a shot, can be served chilled or over ice.
Suitable for mixes: with cola, ginger beer, can also be used in coffees, cocktails; sweet desserts, for example on ice cream or with vanilla cream (according to user reviews)
Serving temperature: Around 6-10 °C for a shot, can also be served with ice or a mixer. It is recommended to be well chilled.
