The Macallan – a legendary distillery from the Speyside region of Scotland, renowned for the exceptional quality of its single malt whiskies and careful selection of casks.

Series and concept:
“A Night on Earth” is a limited edition from The Macallan that explores global traditions for welcoming the new year. The “The First Light” edition is dedicated to New Zealand — one of the first places on the planet to observe the New Year's sunrise.

Collaboration:
The packaging and artistic vision of this edition were created in collaboration with New Zealand artist and illustrator Bonnie Brown.

Aging and casks:
The whisky has been aged in a combination of casks – “seasoned” with sherry from both European and American oak, with an additional emphasis on a small portion of ex-bourbon casks.

Organoleptic characteristics:

Nose: Warm sweet notes of manuka honey, caramel, toasted marshmallows, vanilla.
Taste: Full and rich, with nuances of caramel apple, vanilla ice cream, stone fruit and a light oak structure.
Finish: Sweet and fruity, with a soft spicy echo and a warm woody background.

Presentation:
Gift box with an artistic design inspired by the sunrise of New Zealand, symbolizing a new beginning and festivity.

Serving advice:
It is recommended to serve alone, at room temperature (around 18°C), with the option of adding a drop of water to reveal the aromas. Suitable for an exceptional gift or a special moment.
