Produced by Obsidian Distillery, a small independent distillery located in the Canary Islands, Spain, with a focus on artisanal gin production with a strong terroir character. The distillery uses hand-selected botanicals from the volcanic island of Gran Canaria and combines traditional distillation methods with modern technology.
Ingredients:
Obsidian Gin is created based on a neutral grain spirit, distilled with a carefully selected selection of 12 botanicals, including:
- Wild Juniper Berries
- Coriander
- Lemon Peel
- Cardamom
- Lime Leaves
- Angelica Root
- Local Canarian Herbs and Flowers (Secret Recipe)
Terroir:
The ingredients come from Gran Canaria, an island of volcanic origin, whose soils and climate characteristics give the gin its distinctive character. The maritime climate, rich mineral composition of the soils and sunny days contribute to the rich and complex aromatic profile.
Production Process:
All botanicals are macerated in a copper still before slow distillation in small batches. The distillate is aged briefly before bottling to harmonize the aromas. It is produced without the addition of artificial aromas, colors or sweeteners.
