Description

This is a high-quality tsipouro that is produced from the special Moschato Mavro grape variety grown in the Tirnavos region and has floral aromas, especially those of red roses, which is a distinctive feature of this unique local grape variety.
In 1989, this tsipuro received the status of PGI (protected geographical indication) according to European regulations No. 1576/1989 and 110/2008; thus, Tyrnavos became the first Greek city to receive this status.

It was awarded a gold medal at the International Wine and Spirit Competition in Thessaloniki, organized by the International Organization of Viticulture and Enology.

After processing the grapes for the production of the wine, the Moschato Mavro grapes are distilled in modern stills with sophisticated distillation techniques so as to reveal the special, aromatic character of the grapes.
