Jérôme Kioux is part of the Familie Kioux family winery, a producer with a tradition in the Southern Rhône region, known for its artisanal approach and terroir wines with character. The wines in this series are distinguished by a balance between ripe fruit, spices and freshness, typical of Côtes de Rhône styles.
Variety: Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre
Terroir: The vineyards are located on alluvial and limestone soils in the Côtes de Rhône region, with a southern exposure and a Mediterranean climate that ensures good ripening of the grapes. The winds from the Mistral help keep the vines healthy and concentrate the aromas.
Vinification: The grapes are vinified using the classic method with fermentation in concrete vessels. Aging is short, in stainless steel and partly in large old barrels, to preserve the freshness and varietal purity of the fruit.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Complex and appealing with notes of black cherry, plum and dried herbs, highlighted by black pepper and a light earthy oak note.
Taste: Soft and fruity, with velvety tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is medium-long, with elegant spiciness and notes of dark chocolate.
Food pairings: Suitable for beef Burgundy, roast duck with herbs or veal with a red wine reduction.
Serving temperature: 16°–18°C
Aging potential: Up to 5 years after harvest
