Terroir characteristics
The Tikveš region is the warmest and sunniest part of North Macedonia.
Climate: Continental with Mediterranean influence – warm days and cool nights, ideal for Vranec.
Soils: Mixed – alluvial, stony, rich in minerals, which gives depth and density to the variety.
Vinification
Traditional fermentation of red wines at controlled temperatures
Aging in stainless steel vessels and/or large vessels, in order to preserve the fresh fruit and natural structure
The Vranets variety produces dense, concentrated wines with a characteristic coloring content
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma:
Intense notes of ripe black cherry, blueberries, blackberries, dried plum and light nuances of chocolate and spices.
Taste:
Dense body, rich fruit tones, soft but persistent tannins. Long, warm, slightly spicy finish - typical of the Vranets variety.
