Chateau Purcari – one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Eastern Europe, founded in 1827 in the Stefan Voda region, Republic of Moldova. The winery is known for its traditions and innovations in the production of wines that have been served at European royal courts.
Varietal composition:
100% Rara Neagra
The vineyards are located in the Stefan Voda region, Republic of Moldova, on the banks of the Dniester River. The soils are limestone and clayey, and the climate is moderately continental, with warm summers and cool winters, which provides optimal conditions for growing wine vineyards.
Vinification:
The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, after which the wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barrels, which gives the wine additional complexity and structure
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Intense ruby with garnet hues.
Aroma: Complex, with notes of chocolate, ripe plums and slightly spiced accents.
Taste: Full and velvety, with dominant flavors of dried fruit, vanilla and subtle nuances of oak in the aftertaste.
Food pairings:
Suitable for red meat dishes such as pork chops, baked or grilled veal, as well as dishes with spicy sauces.

18–20°
Aging potential:
Up to 4–5 years after harvest, under appropriate storage conditions.
