Cantine Doppio Passo – an established winery from the Puglia region of Southern Italy. The winery is known for its dedication to traditional Italian techniques, combined with a modern approach to winemaking, to create wines with a pronounced fruity character and depth.

Terroir: The vineyards are located in the heart of Puglia – one of the sunniest regions of Italy. The soils are mainly limestone and clay, which contributes to the richness and softness of the wine. The Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights ensures optimal ripening of the grapes.

Vinification: The grapes are harvested at full ripeness and undergo the traditional “double step” – Doppio Passo – in which part of the grapes are re-fermented with already fermented wine to achieve a more intense taste and aroma. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, after which the wine is aged briefly in oak barrels for roundness and balance.

Aroma: Expressive bouquet with notes of ripe red fruits – plum, cherry and blackberry, combined with nuances of vanilla and sweet spices.
Taste: Full, velvety and well-structured, with soft tannins and a pleasantly long finish with a slightly sweet aftertaste.
Food pairings: Suitable for red meats, pasta with meat sauces, mature cheeses and grilled dishes.
