The wine is very well balanced, soft and rounded on the palate. The finish is long and persistent, typical of a great Corton.This special wine is produced only in the years when the Pinot Noir grapes have reached perfect ripeness. The wine comes from the following estates: Les Bressandes, Les Chaumes, Les Pougets, Les Perrieres and Les Greves, all of which are planted with vines with an average age of over 40. After about 10-12 months of aging, each barrel is precisely tested and only the best, showing the best color, bouquet and aging potential will be blended to make Chateau Corton-Grancey.
