JCP Maltus is one of the recognizable names on the right bank of Bordeaux, owner of Château Teyssier, known for its modern and precise approach to classic appellations. Pezat Bordeaux Supérieur is a wine with an excellent balance between tradition and contemporary style, created with attention to the expression of the terroir.
Terroir
The vineyards for the Bordeaux Supérieur AOC are located mainly on the right bank of the Garonne and the Dordogne. The soils are clay-limestone and gravelly, which provide good drainage and favorable conditions for the ripening of the Merlot and Cabernet varieties. The climate is temperate oceanic with mild winters and warm summers.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and undergo selection. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, with prolonged maceration to extract color and structure. Part of the wine is aged in oak barrels, which contributes to greater complexity and softness of the tannins.
